Photo Thesis for Ithaca College
Artist Statement: This series of self-portraits has been created as a way to express a personal and universal suffering found when losing, what I believe to be the most valuable thing in the world, love. These photos seek to visually explore the emotional extremes experienced when heartbroken; agony, anger, loss of self, and frailty. These emotions have manifested themselves through the contortion of the body, choice of expression, and lights and shadows.
